IN PICS: USCโs JuJu Watkins, KiKi Iriafen, Talia von Oelhoffen and more strike a pose for while promoting game tickets
USC Trojans players JuJu Watkins, KiKi Iriafen and Talia von Oelhoffen came together to promote the team to fans on Instagram. With the new season set to begin on Nov. 4, ticketing for the games is in full swing.
On Friday, the Trojans posted a photo of the trio and other USC players with the caption:
"Galen Center is ๐ง๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ผ๐๐ ๐ง๐ข ๐๐. this season! Trojan Fam, you can now purchase single-game tickets for the 2024-25 season using the link in our bio and story." -uscwbb on Instagram.
Last season, Watkins successfully led the USC Trojans to their first Elite Eight appearance in over 30 years. She enjoyed a record-breaking campaign, as she set the freshman scoring record, but it was evident that the Trojans were heavily reliant on her to carry the team. Watkins could not have a day off without risking the team to lose a game.
To share the burden of leading the Trojans, coach Lindsay Gottlieb added KiKi Iriafen and Talia von Oelhoffen from the transfer portal. Both players were important pieces in their previous schools as leaders. They are entering their final college seasons before they make the transition to the pros.
JuJu Watkins reveals that she has been working just as hard this offseason
After the Elite Eight appearance, fans have heavy expectations on what JuJu Watkins and USC can achieve this season. She has worked hard in the summer and was diligent in attending practice sessions.
During the Big Ten Media Day, Watkins was asked about her efforts in the offseason.
"I think the biggest thing is just becoming a smarter player all around," Watkins said, via Andy Katz on Oct. 22. "I'm lucky that I had that experience my first year, so now I kind of know what to expect. Got my feet wet a little bit, so just in terms of IQ, I've definitely grown; I'm seeing the results in the work I put in over the summer."
"Getting to know my teammates a little bit moreโabout where they like the ball and what notโso that I'm able to kind of control the floor. And I think the biggest thing for me is definitely efficiency, something that I definitely could have worked on or have worked on. So just excited to see how this year turns out."
USC will begin its campaign against Ole Miss. With a new conference and new players on the team, fans are eagerly awaiting to see JuJu Watkins and the Trojans back in action.
