“It started at Stanford”: Cameron Brink and fiance Ben Felter’s alma mater sends heartwarming wish amid their engagement
Former Stanford women's basketball star Cameron Brink got engaged to longtime boyfriend, Ben Felter, also a Stanford alum. Felter proposed Brink this week in Paris.
The news was well received by basketball fans, her teammates and other players sending their congratulations to the couple. Another heartwarming message came from their alma mater, Stanford University, where the two first met.
On Instagram, the Cardinal's official women's basketball account shared photos of the pair, captioned with heart and engagement ring emoji.
"It started at Stanford. Congrats Cam & Ben ‼️"
Cameron Brink appreciated the support and warm wishes with a comment.
"Forever thankful for where we met❤️🌲." the Los Angeles Sparks forward wrote.
The couple was in the French capital Paris attending Fashion Week when her boyfriend Felter got down on one knee and popped the question.
According to People Magazine, Felter proposed the 6-foot-3 WNBA rookie at the Shangri-La Paris Hotel, right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Brink had just come from the Balenciaga show and was surprised with the proposal.

Several top basketball players, Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese, congratulated the happy couple on their engagement.
"Omgggggggg congrats😍," Bueckers wrote.
"STOPPPP😫🥺 congrats bby," Reese commented.
WNBA rookie of the year Caitlin Clark and JuJu Watkins also showered them with well wishes.
"Congrats! ❤️❤️," JuJu added.
"😍😍😍😍," Clark chimed in.
Cameron Brink and Ben Felter started dating over three years ago. They were involved in athletic pursuits — Brink as a standout basketball player and Felter, a rower at Stanford.
They officially started dating in March of 2021 and although they kept their relationship a secret, the duo celebrated their third anniversary this year with heartfelt posts on Instagram.
Brink spent four years at Stanford, winning the national championship in 2021. She averaged 17.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game last season.
After graduation, she declared for the WNBA draft this year and Los Angeles selected her second overall. Meanwhile, her beau Felter entered his fifth year as a graduate in computer science at Stanford University.
