JuJu Watkins stats tonight: How did the USC star fare vs Elon (Dec. 15)
JuJu Watkins fired 26 points despite a bad shooting night, leading USC to an 88-30 win over Elon on Sunday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.
The 6-foot-2 guard shot 7 of 18 from the field, including 1 of 6 from the 3-point line and made 11 of 12 attempts from the foul line. It was her ninth straight 20-plus point game in the 2024-25 women's college basketball season.
Watkins scored her first two points on a layup that gave the Trojans a 4-2 lead in the 8:34 mark. She would record an assist to Talia Von Oelhoffen, who buried a 3-pointer for a 7-4 lead.
The Sierra Canyon standout's assist would spark a 27-2 run that would give USC a 31-6 lead at the 7:20 mark of the second quarter. Watkins scored an additional 10 points during that span and added two rebounds, one assist and two steals to her statline.
She wouldn't score in the remaining minutes of the second period but had an assist and two blocks for the Trojans, who built a 40-12 advantage at the half. She would pick up her offense in the third period, scoring 12 points on three layups and six free throws, allowing USC to take a 69-23 lead after three quarters.
Watkins continued to play in the fourth period and scored two points on a jumper. She'd record a rebound, an assist and a steal in the early part of the quarter before coach Lindsay Gottlieb took her out to rest the remaining minutes of the game.

JuJu Watkins and Kiki Iriafen combined for 44 points to help No. 5-ranked USC clobber Elon 88-30 on Sunday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. Watkins scored 26 points while Iriafen added 18 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans, who improved 10-1.
Kayleigh Heckel finished with 14 points on 7 of 8 shooting and tallied four rebounds, four assists and four steals while Talia von Oelhoffen added 10 points, two rebounds, two assists and four steals. Rayah Marshall grabbed 14 rebounds to go along with five points for the Trojans, who won for the sixth time in seven home games this season.
USC shot 46.6% from the field and limited Elon to 21.2%. The Trojans had a 50-30 edge in rebounds and dominated other stats including assists (18-6), steals (15-3) and blocks (5-1).
They only turned the ball over seven times while forcing 25 turnovers to their opponents. The Trojans ruled the fast break points (24-2) and points in the paint (48-14) to complete the victory.
USC will visit UConn in a key matchup on Saturday at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
