JuJu Watkins Stats Tonight: How did the USC star fare vs Fresno State (Dec. 10)

JuJu Watkins put up her ninth 20-point game of the 2024-25 women's college basketball season, powering USC to an 89-40 victory over Fresno State on Tuesday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.

The 6-foot-2 guard finished with 21 points, on 6-of-16 shooting from the field, including 1-of-5 from the 3-point area. She was perfect from the free-throw line making all of her eight attempts from the stripe to help the Trojans improve to 9-1 and 5-1 at home.

Watkins also tallied seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 31 minutes of action for the Lindsay Gottlieb-coached Trojans. The guard needed four minutes to score her first two points on a layup that tied the game at six apiece.

Watkins would score six more points in a 66-second span to put USC on top 14-10. She would make a 3-point play with 22 seconds left in the first frame to give the Trojans a 22-12 advantage.

The Sierra Canyon alumnus would make three free-throws after she was fouled on the 3-point line at the 7:54 mark of the second period. She would dish off to Rayah Marshall, who made a twinner for a 40-20 USC edge with 1:37 left. Watkins would beat the buzzer several plays later to give the Trojans a 46-20 advantage at the half.

The guard added three points — on three free-throws — four rebounds and three assists in the third quarter to put USC on a comfortable 70-26 edge going to the payoff period.

Watkins would get her final points on a jumper at the 8:53 mark and came up with an assist and a steal for good measure before sitting out in the middle of the fourth period.

Trojans vs Bulldogs Game Recap: Kiki Iriafen, JuJu Watkins star as USC steamrolls Fresno State

No. 5-ranked USC (9-1) rolled to an 89-40 victory over Fresno State (7-4) to continue its impressive run in the 2024-25 women's college basketball season. Stanford transfer Kiki Iriafen put up a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double for the Trojans, who also improved to 5-1 at home.

Iriafen, who added three assists and two steals, made 7 of 11 attempts from the field and 10 of 11 from the free-throw line for USC. JuJu Watkins backed up Iriafen's impressive stats with a 21-point, seven-rebound outing for the Trojans, who shot 47.6%, including 38.9% from the 3-point area.

USC made 22 of 25 attempts from the free throw line and dominated the rebounding battle 48-20. Rayah Marshall grabbed 13 rebounds to go along with seven points, four assists and four blocks.

Kayleigh Heckel and Avery Howell both scored nine points for the Trojans, whose largest lead stood at 51. USC goes back to action on Sunday afternoon as it takes on Elon at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
