"Just missing the crop top": UConn's Paige Bueckers hilariously gives nod to Joe Burrow stealing her closet
Paige Bueckers gave her seal of approval to Joe Burrow's eccentric pre-game outfit hours after similarities were drawn between his outfit and the UConn star's trademark style.
Before the Cincinnati Bengals' game against the Washington Commanders at Paycor Stadium, Burrow showed up for Monday Night Football sporting a pink top, a khaki vest, khaki cargo pants and pink shoes.
The outfit resembled a fit that Bueckers would often wear, and the talented guard hilariously admitted there was only one thing preventing from the outfit fully resembling her traditional style: a crop top.
"Just missing the crop top," joked Bueckers.
Burrow's bold fashion choice couldn't draw much attention away from the Bengals' struggles in the field. The Super Bowl LVI finalists lost 33-38 to the Commanders on Monday, making their current 0-3 record their poorest start to an NFL season since 2019.
Paige Bueckers made headlines with New York Fashion Week debut

She donned an outfit filled with butterflies, and shared a moment with Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee at the event which drew the paparazzi seamlessly.
Bueckers also pulled off a stunning outfit in July worth over $500, and shared the look with her followers on Instagram. Throughout the offseason, she has been balancing traveling all over the country with preparing for the upcoming 2024-25 season, which will be her final season in college basketball.
Bueckers was among the top players in the 2023-24 season, playing a key role in the Huskies' run to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. She averaged 21.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.1 steals in 35 starts, earning First-Team All-American honors and winning the Big East Player of the Year Award.
Touted as one of the top picks for the 2025 WNBA draft, Bueckers is likely to be one of the top stars in the 2024-25 season once again. She will be keen to impress in the upcoming season and hope to end her college basketball career by winning the elusive NCAA Tournament title with the Huskies.
