The account answered that question by putting the Kansas Jayhawks center a cut above the rest, including Auburn power forward Johni Broome and Robbie Avila, who transferred to the Saint Louis Billikens after a strong 2023-24 season with the Indiana State Sycamores.

The list also included top 10 Class of 2024 prospect, Derik Queen, four-star Alabama transfer Clifford Omoruyi and Zvonimir Ivisic, who followed John Calipari to the Arkansas Razorbacks after shining for the Kentucky Wildcats last season.

Dickinson, who forewent the 2024 NBA draft to return to Kansas, made a joke at his expense as soon as March Madness' official Instagram account listed him as the top big man in college basketball today.

Hunter Dickinson produced a strong senior season for the Jayhawks

After three standout seasons with the Michigan Wolverines, Hunter Dickinson transferred to the Jayhawks for his senior season. He emerged as one of the program's strongest players last season, helping them make the second round of March Madness.

The 7-foot-2 center averaged 17.9 points and 10.9 rebounds in 33 starts, becoming the sixth player in the Bill Self era to average a double-double for the season and the first since Udoka Azubuike in the 2019-20 season.

Dickinson's stellar season earned him consensus second-team All-American honors, and he was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. He was also one of five finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award, which Purdue Boilermakers' Zach Edey won for the second season in a row.

The Jayhawks currently top the AP's Top 25 men's college basketball poll, highlighting their credentials as preseason favorites to win their first national championship since 2022. Kansas began last season at No. 1 as well.

Dickinson, who was named preseason player of the year for the second straight season, will be motivated to make an impact in his final season of college basketball as the Jayhawks will begin with a home game against the Howard Bison on Monday.
