Kate Martin reacts to Iowa players Hannah Stuelke and more paying wholesome tribute to kid captain Krysty Bujakowska

On Thursday, Kate Martin shared a heartwarming reaction to the images of the 2024 Iowa Hawkeyes squad's picture with Krysty Bujakowska on Instagram.

Krysty is a 12-year-old Coralville resident who is battling with an aggressive type of bone cancer at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. She was the honorary kid captain at Iowa's game on Oct. 15. Iowa's new coach, Jan Jensen, shared the exciting news with her parents before the crossover game at Kinnick.

The pictures showed Jansen hugging Krysty while Iowa stars Kylie Feuerbach, Hannah Stuelke, Jada Gyamfi and more posed with her. Martin shared the image on Instagram.

Kate Martin, Caitlin Clark, Gabbie Marshall and Jada Gyamfi united for a weekend at Iowa

Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall attended the Hawkeyes college football game against the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday. The 2023-24 Iowa women's basketball team was honored for their impressive performance last season.

The Hawkeyes stars were seen waving at the fans who filled the Kinnick Stadium as part of the yearly tradition. Martin, Clark and other Hawkeyes players were also presented with dazzling Final Four and Big 10 championship rings.

Martin, Clark, Marshall and Gyamfi were known for their close bond with their fans. While Clark and Martin departed from college to play in the WNBA, Marshall is pursuing higher education at the University of North Carolina.

On Oct. 10, Martin and Marshall surprised Gyamfi in the middle of the night at her college dorm.

"You think she's gonna cry?" Martin asked.
"I think she is gonna cry," Marshall replied.
"Surprise was a success!!!! I love you so much @jades #longdistancefriendship #surprise," Marshall captioned the video.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will play their first regular season game against the Northern Illinois Huskies next Wednesday.
