Kim Mulkey shares wholesome video with son on rare snow day in Baton Rouge

Snow in Louisiana is not an annual occurrence, and it looks like LSU coach Kim Mulkey and her family made the best of it this year. A record-breaking snowstorm covered the Pelican State white on Tuesday, and Mulkey's family joined the many citizens of the state in enjoying their rare snow day.

Mulkey shared a video on Instagram of her and her son, baseball player Kramer Robertson, playing football. She was even playfully tackled into the snow by him.

"Just your typical mother-son snow day activities 😂," Mulkey wrote in the caption.

The LSU Tigers are enjoying one of their best starts to the season with a 20-0 undefeated record. They sit at the No. 2 spot in the Southeastern Conference standings with a 5-0 record, just below Dawn Staley's South Carolina (18-1, 6-0).

After the Elite Eight exit last season, Kim Mulkey and the Tigers are looking for a better run this season, hopefully repeating their 2023 national championship win.

Kim Mulkey and LSU prepare for their toughest game

The Tigers have mostly played against non-ranked teams until now, with just two ranked opponents falling their way in No. 20 NC State and No. 16 Tennessee. They face their biggest test of the season on Thursday when they face No. 2 South Carolina at the Colonial Life Arena.

The last time these two teams met was during the SEC championship game in March. It did not end well for Kim Mulkey and her team as they lost, along with a bench-clearing scuffle involving Flau'jae Johnson, Kamilla Cardoso and MiLaysia Fulwiley.

Mulkey was asked about the big clash during the press conference after the 80-63 win over the Florida Gators on Sunday.

"I can't even think about South Carolina, I got to think about snow and ice when I get home," she said. "So, we're going to enjoy this victory today. Any victory on the road in our league is an accomplishment. But, we know what we face next, a tremendous challenge to play the defending champions and do it at their place."

The defending champion South Carolina is going to be a tough opponent for the Tigers. However, a win will put LSU at the top of the standings and give it perfect revenge for last year's loss.
