Kiyan Anthony showed love to Bronny James after 2024 NBA draft
Bronny James waited until the second round to hear his name called in the 2024 NBA draft. Things worked out well for the son of LeBron James as he was drafted 55th by the LA Lakers, giving him the opportunity to team up with his father. The James family will make history as they are on course to become the first father-son duo to play in the league at the same time, while they will also be teammates.
Kiyan Anthony, the son of LeBron's longtime friend, Carmelo Anthony, showed support for the historical moment on Instagram. He reshared a post from Overtime, which read:
"DREAM COME TRUE!!! BRONNY JAMES IS A LOS ANGELES LAKER 🤩 🤩 🤩 @bronny @kingjames"
Anthony added:
"say no more ‼️ ‼️ ‼️"
James averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in just 19.3 minutes per game, while shooting 36.6% from the field, 26.7% from 3-point range and 67.6% from the free-throw line as a true freshman.
The four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class appeared in 25 games for the USC Trojans, making six starts. He missed the first eight games of the season after suffering a cardiac arrest last summer.
