Flau'jae Johnson showed admiration for fellow LSU athlete Chris Hilton Jr. on social media. On Monday, the talented wide receiver shared some of his top snaps from Saturday night's football game between the Tigers and the Oklahoma Sooners on Instagram. The night ended in a dominant 37-17 victory for Hilton Jr.'s side.
Hilton Jr. had a great game, receiving a team-leading 85 yards and recording two touchdown receptions. The wide receiver's performance was critical to the Tigers' emphatic victory over the Sooners.
In the post, the photos showed him pulling off one of his celebrations following a touchdown. There were also some clicks of the wide receiver with the Baton Rouge faithful, in the background, cheering him on at the Tiger Stadium. The last photograph seemingly features a picture of Hilton Jr. and Flau'jae Johnson together.
Johnson showered praise on the Tigers' wide receiver, and shared a comment on this post.
"Knew you was him all along," wrote Johnson.
On November 8, Flau'jae Johnson left fans buzzing by sharing a story on Instagram, revealing a proposal she received from a mystery partner. She accepted the proposal and confirmed that she was in a relationship.
A couple of days ago, Johnson shared a post that featured a few moments from her trip to the Bahamas with her team. Hilton Jr. commented on this post, and reffered to Johnson as, "my world," along with a heart emoji.
Flau'jae Johnson makes impressive start to her junior season
LSU's star guard has started the 2024-25 season in fine fettle and showed why she is one of the most exciting players in women's college basketball. She has been influential in leading the Tigers to a perfect 9-0 start, putting in the work on both ends of the court.
Through the 9-0 start, Johnson has averaged 22.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists. On the defensive end, the 5' 10" guard has averaged 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
The Tigers' impressive wins in the Bahamas saw them move up two places to take the fifth spot in the AP Top 25 ranking, in its latest update. They will be keen to maintain their strong start in their next game against Stanford Cardinal at Baton Rouge, on Thursday Night.
