La La and Kiyan Anthony share bond despite divorce from Carmelo

La La and Carmelo Anthony got divorced in 2021 but have continued to support their son, Kiyan Anthony, at his games. In an interview on the "Angie Martinez Show," the reality television star spoke about her much-publicized divorce from the former NBA star.

“It’s been years now since then,” La La said. “To a lot of people, it feels like this single thing is new. It’s been years now that we’ve separated, so I’ve dealt with the emotions behind it. I still have my moments, but for the most part, I can talk about it now, laugh about it and find the humor in it all.”

During an interview on the "Breakfast Club," La La spoke about her new perspective on marriage.

"I’m never getting married again,” she said. “It’s one of those things in life that I feel like I could check it off. Like, ‘Okay, I did that.’ Maybe people want to say they’ve experienced that. I’ve experienced it and I know the good and the bad that happened to me, so it’s not something I want to experience again. I can have an incredible relationship with somebody and not be married.”

Kiyan Anthony, on the other hand, will have a huge decision to make in a few months as he seeks to embark on a college basketball career as a gateway to the NBA, and it seems as if his parents are both supporting him in his quest to achieve that lofty dream.
