The Lipscomb Bisons struggled offensively throughout the 40 minutes as they made 38.8% from the floor, 18.2% from beyond the arc, and made all but one of their 12 trips to the charity stripe.
The team struggled to grab rebounds as they had 28 total rebounds. The one thing that was good for them was the fact they were able to only turn the ball over six times. However, the Bisons never had a lead at any point in this game.
The game was not much of a contest. The Wildcats had built up a double-digit lead just after the first TV timeout after five-plus minutes. They didn't let up after that as they went into halftime leading by 17.
The Kentucky Wildcats shot extremely well in this game. Kentucky shot 54.8% from the field, 48.0% from distance, and 21 trips from the charity stripe. Lamont Butler finished with 16 points, went 6-of-8 from the field, and hit all three of his 3-pointers.
Meanwhile, fellow transfer Koby Brea also went a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc as he finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Wildcats were able to dominate the glass as they had 43 total rebounds. They finished with 40 points in the paint, which was a major reason why they were able to hold a 40-point lead and eventually win by 29 points.
