“Locked in”: LSU star Flau'jae Johnson flaunts electric stats following 95-44 win over Eastern KY
LSU Lady Tigers are off to a blazing start to begin the 2024-25 season thanks to junior guard Flau'jae Johnson. In LSU's 95-44 win over Eastern Kentucky on Monday, Johnson put on a solid performance, finishing with 25 points and five rebounds.
Johnson, who won the national championship with the Tigers as a freshman, has settled seamlessly into her third year with the team. She is one of the best players in the women's college division going into this season and is also a leader on this LSU squad.
After the blowout victory, the Georgia native took to Instagram to flaunt her game stats. She reshared an ESPNW post on her story, which Mousa Hamdan, president of Jet Life Recordings, also shared on his story, tagging Flau'jae.
"My girl killing it," he wrote.
She then captioned her story, adding, "Locked in 🤞,"
In the season opener at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Flau'jae Johnson started the game, hitting 10 of 15 shots, 2 of 5 from the 3-point line and 3 of 3 on free throws.

Kim Mulkey's team reached Elite Eight last season, during which Johnson averaged 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. She is poised to have a bigger impact as LSU looks to go further in this campaign.
Flau'jae Johnson gets big praise from Kim Mulkey after Eastern KY win
This season, Flau'jae Johnson will likely get used to hearing praise from Tigers coach Kim Mulkey. Following a dominating win against Eastern Kentucky, Mulkey expressed her admiration for Johnson's incredible performance.
"I think it’s obvious that Flau’jae is playing effortlessly," Mulkey said. "She’s in the greatest shape she’s ever been; it’s coming easy for her."
In addition to Johnson, senior guard Aneesah Morrow also had a double-double performance as she scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Johnson also gave her best in LSU's preseason exhibition games. She scored 30 points against Xavier New Orleans and put up 29 against LSU–Alexandria.
"[Flau'jae] was phenomenal and I think what you’re seeing from her is comfort," Mulkey praised Johnson. "She’s a leader and it’s because she has all the experience and puts in the work."
Flau'jae Johnson had a surreal offseason. Aside from the basketball part, she also flourished in her rap career, dropping her debut album "Best of Both Worlds" and collaborating with rappers like Lil Wayne and NLE Choppa.
