With Kamilla Cardosa taking the bigger role, Chloe Kitts saw restricted time with the Gamecocks during her first two seasons. She played an average of 6.9 minutes during her freshman season and 18.6 minutes as a sophomore. In the upcoming season, however, the forward could see more time on the court.

Collin Murray-Boyles picks Raven Johnson over Chloe Kitts for teammate spot

South Carolina sophomore forward Collin Murray-Boyles was put in a spot when he was asked to pick one player from the program's women's basketball team to add to the men's roster. To many people's surprise, Boyles chose Raven Johnson and named a few more, skipping his girlfriend, Chloe Kitts.

"Raven (Johnson). That's a tough. ... I can't even choose. That's tough," Murray-Boyles said (via Watch Fox 57). "Sania, too. Geez, that's tough. They're really a tough team. I don't know. Sorry, Chloe!"

Meanwhile, MiLaysia Fulwiley was the popular choice among Boyles' teammates. The sophomore guard enjoyed a great freshman season under Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley and is also expected to play a bigger role this season.

"I would want to play with MiLaysia," incoming freshman Cam Scott said. "I like her play style. I've been watching her since I was little. She also grew up around here, so just being able to hear about it and watch it. Just the way she's played, I feel like, especially for me, it can create a lot of open looks for me.
"She likes to play a little fast, a little free. Those type of play styles, I can play with very well. So, I think that would be a fun game, honestly."

After an undefeated season, Kitts and her team are the favorites to continue its victory run in the 2024-25 campaign as well.

South Carolina will begin its season on Nov. 4 against Michigan.
