LSU star Flau'jae Johnson reveals "stupid" superstition of having peppermints in her socks

The Flau'jae Johnson star revealed that she has her fair share of superstitions on her "Best of Both Worlds" podcast. LSU star's story came after she was talking about JuJu Watkins' signature bun.

The USC Trojans' star has been wearing her hair in an uptop bun since she was 5 years old. Watkins claims that she is superstitious about it to the point, where she needs it every game.

Digging back to her high school days, Johnson shared that she used to hide peppermints in her socks. She believed that it somehow helped her have a good game until one day she was out of peppermints.

"I used to hide peppermints in my sock, I don't know why I used to do that" John said. "In my sock, I thought it was a thing like, that really helped me until I didn't have no more peppermints because I ran out and I still had a good game," she added.
"It started in high school, because in high school my coach used to starve us so I used to be hungry at practice. I used to eat the peppermints and then put it in my sock. And then one practice I killed and I thought it was a thing. It wasn't a thing though, it was stupid. I'm not going to lie. They are going to clown me but it's cool," Johnson followed.

Flau'jae Johnson names her LSU legends

A segment of Flau'jae Johnson's podcast with JuJu Watkins tested the two hoopers' college ball knowledge, needing them to name legendary players that stemmed from Louisiana State University and the University of Southern California.

The objective was to take turns naming one player from their program, with no restriction on the sport, until one of them ran out of names.

Flau'jae Johnson initiated the sequence and won it behind Shaquille O'Neal (Olympic gold medalist and four-time NBA champion), Pete Maravich (three-time NCAA scoring leader and five-time NBA All-Star), Seimone Augustus (four WNBA championships and one Finals MVP), Sylvia Fowles (WNBA all-time rebounding and double-double leader) and Joe Burrow (Heisman Trophy and the national championship winner).

On the other hand, JuJu Watkins named Tina Thompson (former WNBA player and NCAA coach), Cheryl Miller (Olympic gold medalist and sportscaster), Cynthia Cooper (NCAA champion, Olympic gold medalist and WNBA champion) and DeMar DeRozan (six-time NBA All-Star and three-time All-Team member).
