Lucy Olsen, the third-leading Division I women's basketball scorer last season, is set to join the University of Iowa. Standing at 5 feet 9 inches, Olsen confirmed her transfer via social media.
In her final season at Villanova, she boasted impressive averages of 23.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, leading the Wildcats in scoring for all but seven games.
Notably, Olsen won recognition as the Big East's most improved player and unanimously secured a spot on the All-Big East first team. Over her tenure at Villanova, she played in all 105 games, contributing significantly to the team's success.
Additionally, she recorded 134 3-pointers, including 55 in her final season. Olsen's transfer comes after Villanova's defeat in the WBIT championship game against Illinois.

In 2022-23, Olsen started in all 37 games, and averaged 12.4 points, 4.1 rebounds per game and played 33 minutes in each game. She shot .356 from long distances and .763 from the free-throw line.
