"Made it": Paige Bueckers responds to UConn WBB IG as they playfully remind her to attend classes instead of WNBA games

One of Paige Bueckers' latest side quests came through after watching the Las Vegas Aces take on the New York Liberty at Barclays Center on Sunday. While Bueckers has been mounting trips throughout the nation over the summer, this one garnered plenty of eyes due to the seating arrangement.

Bueckers was sat next to Dallas Mavericks' new sharpshooter, Klay Thompson. Moreover, Bueckers was just hours separated from working out with Stephen Curry and 2024 NBA champion Jaylen Brown at the NBPA's New York training facility.

As fans raved about Bueckers' latest outings, the UConn women's basketball's Instagram handle slyly reminded their star of her classes in the coming week:

"Come home, you have classes tomorrow," UConn's comment read.

To that, Bueckers replied by clicking a picture of her virtual student portal and uploading it on her story:

"Yea yea yea... made it @uconnwbb," she wrote.

Interestingly, it was not the first trip from New York to Connecticut for Paige Bueckers this month. Earlier in September, she attended Connecticut Sun's game against the Seatle Storm at Mohegan Sun Arena before turning heads once again while watching the US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York just a few hours later.

Paige Bueckers' WNBA dream team is full of former Huskies

During a segment with StockX, Bueckers was asked about her all-time WNBA starting five roster. As a result, she churned out a team stacked with former UConn Huskies standouts:

"I would say Sue Bird at the one, Diana Taurasi at the two, Maya Moore at the three, Breanna Stewart at the four and A'ja Wilson at the five," she replied.

Except for Wilson, who played for South Carolina’s 2024 NCAA championship coach Dawn Staley, all the players Bueckers said stemmed from Connecticut’s basketball program. Moreover, they all played for the same coach as Paige Bueckers, Geno Auriemma.

Moreover, Bueckers has a personal quest to join the list of elite UConn players herself, which she believes can be conquered by leading the Huskies to an NCAA championship.

Last year, Bueckers and UConn came close. However, due to constant injuries on the team's roster, the squad could only reach the Final Four.

With that, Bueckers – who could have been a lottery pick in the WNBA draft this summer – chose to extend her college tenure, hoping to lift the title next season.
