Olivia Miles could be one of the first names called in the 2025 WNBA draft

Once seen as a surefire WNBA draft prospect, Olivia Miles quickly made a name for herself with her incredible playmaking skills and ability to fill the stat sheet. During her first two seasons at Notre Dame, fans and scouts were already speculating about how early she’d be picked when she became eligible to go pro.

A top-four draft selection seemed almost guaranteed, no matter which team had the pick.

However, things took an unexpected turn when she suffered an ACL injury late in her sophomore year. Since then, she’s been on the road to recovery, missing the entire 2023-24 season to focus on rehab. Now, she’s returning to a Notre Dame squad that includes another exceptional guard, Hannah Hidalgo.

This season, Miles is challenged to prove to WNBA coaches and executives that she’s back at full strength and can thrive alongside Hidalgo. Together, they form one of college basketball's most dynamic backcourts.

But this will be the first time both guards, who have typically played as primary ball handlers, will need to share the spotlight.

For Olivia Miles, a strong season could be a game-changer. She’ll have the option to declare for the 2025 WNBA draft, and if she does, her talent and determination will undoubtedly make her a highly sought-after prospect.
