Miami’s Hanna Cavinder drops 1-word reaction to hype twin Haley after latest ACC honor
Hanna Cavinder congratulated her twin sister Haley Cavinder after she was named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Player of the Week. Voted by the league's Blue Ribbon Panel, the Miami Hurricanes senior guard earned the award for her high-level play from Dec. 16 to Dec. 22. It is the 5-foot-6 guard's first conference POTW honor this season.
As the Hurricanes' Instagram handle shared the update with fans, Hanna Cavinder left a one-word comment to reflect her sentiments.
"Queen," she wrote.
Cavinder joins Notre Dame's Olivia Miles and Hannah Hidalgo, Duke's Reigan Richardson and Florida State's Makayla Timpson and Ta’Niya Latson as the winners of the award this season.
Her award comes in light of back-to-back double-doubles in the Maui Classic. The guard posted 25 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists on 68.8% shooting against the Nevada Wolf Pack on Thursday.
She posted a similar stat line the next day against the Oregon State Beavers, amassing 20 points, 12 rebounds and five assists on 47.1%. Cavinder was also named the Most Valuable Player of the Maui Classic.
