Amidst a busy transfer season for the Kansas Jayhawks, they finally have good news. Hunter Dickinson has announced that he will return to Kansas for his final season by utilizing his extra COVID year of eligibility.

Kansas and Dickinson made this announcement on social media. The Jayhawks fans were thrilled to hear the news as they wanted the All-American big man to return for another year.

Kansas' head coach, Bill Self, also took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce Dickinson's return in a very different way. He tweeted by tagging Dickinson and asked if he was returning for another season.

"Hey Hunter Dickinson, have you made a decision yet? Everybody wants to know what you're thinking?" Self wrote.
"Yeah you're right coach. I think it's time to tell everyone I'm coming back! Rock Chalk!," Dickinson replied.

Dickinson averaged 17.9 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last season and was a 2024 Big 10 Newcomer of the Year.

After the return of Hunter Dickinson and the commitment from Rylan Griffen, Kansas' roster looks stronger for the upcoming season. They have 13 scholarship players in their lineup for the 2024 campaign.

The only player who is unclear about his decision is Johnny Furphy, who recently declared for the NBA draft. However, he did so while maintaining his college eligibility. Kansas is expecting to receive his final decision by June 16.
