Cooper Flagg's preparations for the 2025 season sparked reactions from fans, who took to the comments section to express their opinions. Some of them praised his efforts, admitting he is ready to make his mark in the NBA already:

"He’s been NBA ready since Jr. in high school. He coulda been a squad developing right now," said one fan.
"Playin against Team USA got that boy confidence through the roof," said another.
"He in practice going hard asf. That’s real love for the game," one fan added.

While some fans praised him, others took to mocking his choice to represent the Blue Devils instead of the reigning NCAA Tournament winners, the UConn Huskies. Some fans also said he could fall short of North Carolina Tar Heels' star guard Elliot Cadeau in 2025:

"Still losing to Elliot," one fan said.
"Every year we get the Duke hype videos of the next phenom and how the squad looks like they could beat prime Steph and the warriors and then the season comes and they get double scooped by unc and a sweet 16 L. A beautifully recurring trend," another fan said.
"UConn gonna beat them badly," one fan added.
