Hidalgo was on the bench during the game after being ruled out due to an ankle injury. She sprained her right ankle late in Notre Dame's win over Wake Forest on Thursday and was unable to recover in time for Sunday’s matchup against Clemson.

The game marked the first absence of Hidalgo's college career. She was seen wearing a brace during pregame warmups but did not actively participate in the team’s drills. Hidalgo has been an integral part of the Fighting Irish lineup, averaging 25.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 3.7 assists through 15 games this season.

No Hannah Hidalgo, no problem for Notre Dame in win over Clemson

The No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish proved they could still dominate without Hannah Hidalgo, securing a 67-58 win over the Clemson Tigers. Two players scored in double figures for the Fighting Irish, who improved to 14-2 overall.

Liatu King King stepped up in Hidalgo's absence, leading the team with 23 points. King shot 10-for-14 overall and 3-for-6 from the free-throw line, while also grabbing 11 rebounds to notch her eighth double-double of the season.

Olivia Miles also delivered a strong performance, contributing 17 points on 5-for-12 shooting. Miles excelled at the free-throw line, converting all six of her attempts. However, her struggles from beyond the arc continued, as she missed four of her five 3-point attempts.
