Paige Bueckers' teammate Kamorea Arnold & former teammate Olivia Nelson react to UConn star’s energetic in-game snaps
Paige Bueckers is one of the biggest names in women's basketball right now, not just in college. On Sunday, the UConn star shared a series of Instagram posts expressing gratitude for her life. Teammate Kamorea Arnold and former Huskies player Olivia Nelson-Ododa reacted with supportive comments.
"Living the dream, THANK YOU GOD🙏🏼," Bueckers captioned the post.
"🤏🏾 CLOCK DAT BLESSING!! WONT HE DO IT!!" Current teammate Kamorea Arnold commented.
"Get to it fiveeeeee," commented former teammate Olivia Nelson-Ododa, referring to the number five worn by Bueckers.
Bueckers is playing basketball at an elite level for an elite program under Geno Auriemma and is being touted as the No. 1 prospect heading into the 2025 WNBA draft.
She's also the most popular name in women's basketball right now. She is averaging 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.8 steals per game this season.
Paige Bueckers to go No. 1 at the 2025 WNBA draft
Paige Bueckers is the unanimous projected No. 1 pick in next year's WNBA draft. However, up until recently, it wasn't clear where she'd land. Now that the draft lottery has taken place, the Dallas Wings will have the first pick.
When asked about the lottery, Bueckers said she felt too anxious to watch.
“People think I’m lying. I actually didn’t watch it, it was giving me too much anxiety,” she told ESPN.
When asked about Dallas winning the lottery and likely drafting her at No. 1, she said:
“I honestly don’t want to get complacent. I want to stay humble, stay grounded, stay in the moment. Nothing in the future is guaranteed, so just taking every moment as it is. I’m a firm believer in God having a plan for me, so whatever that is, I’m ready to do it."
The future seems to be written in the stars for the guard out of Minnesota, and fans will hope she continues to improve.
