Passionate Jan Jensen speaks her heart out after Hawkeyes' crucial win vs Iowa State: “Everybody had to step up”
Iowa Hawkeyes coach Jan Jensen had a special message for her team following their hard-fought victory over Iowa State on Wednesday. As the team gathered in the locker room after securing the win, Jensen spoke from her heart to her players:
"You guys, I'm just so thrilled for you... everybody had to step up," Jensen said. "This game, there were moments. Everybody had a moment. The bench had moments to keep us up when we kind of lost our confidence and maybe we weren't shooting."
Jensen was quite emotional for her team, and one could see her joy and passion as she continued her rousing speech:
"Everybody that got on the floor had a moment that mattered." she continued. "You had a moment that mattered, and that was magical... I am thrilled for you because, you guys, you are a special unit. You have been special since May... and it is an effin' Hawkeye state!"
