Paige Bueckers leads UConn to Baha Mar Hoops title with win over Ole Miss
The UConn Huskies women secured a 73-60 victory over Ole Miss to claim their first piece of hardware this season at the Baha Mar Hoops tournament in the Bahamas.
Paige Bueckers was the standout performer, scoring an impressive 29 points, along with teammate Azzi Fudd, who contributed 18 in just her third game back from injury.
The Huskies overcame the Rebels's 15-0 second-half run to clinch the 2024 Baha Mar Hoops Women's Championship. Ole Miss mounted a strong challenge, but UConn maintained control throughout the game and never relinquished the lead.
The win continues the Huskies's undefeated start to the season as Geno Auriemma, the winning coach in DI history, continues his dominance.
Paige Bueckers and the Huskies will return home to the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion to face their next challenge against Holy Cross (Dec. 3) before heading on the road in a stretch that won't see them return to Storrs again until January 2025.
