Reigan Richardson stats tonight: How many points did Duke star score vs. Oklahoma (Nov 27)

Senior guard Reigan Richardson took over Duke's 109-99 overtime win over Oklahoma on Wednesday with a career-high 35 points on almost 60% from the field. This was the highest scoring mark against a Top-10 ranked squad in team history as Richardson led the Blue Devils to their seventh win of the 2024-2025 season.

Logging in 39 productive minutes, Richardson also dished out seven assists, snagged three rebounds, and hit five makes from the 3-point line.

The fourth-year standout connected on a jumper from Jadyn Donovan to momentarily tie the game at four apiece in the first quarter. Her next points would come by way of a two-pointer and a successful and-one conversion. Richardson then concluded the first quarter with a couple of free throws to put Duke up by seven, 27-20.

The Blue Devils continued to pad their lead to start the second as Richardson contributed to the team's third straight basket, 34-20. She then sank her first triple at the 5:38 mark. Despite Richardson not scoring again for the first half, Duke was still ahead going into the third quarter, 46-35.

Richardson's first field goal of the second half then occurred with under four minutes left in the third period with a 3-pointer. She truly made her mark in the fourth quarter as with the Sooners knotting the game up, 73-all, Richardson's third three-ball put Duke ahead by three for the moment.

She then drained two more buckets, including another twenty-footer, but Duke's collective effort was not enough for the win. Oklahoma guard Payton Verhulst knocked down a contested buzzer-beating 3-pointer to send the matchup into overtime, 94-all.

With momentum on the Oklahoma side, Richardson shifted it right back to her team's side. The 21-year-old scored a total of 10 points in the extra period, including Duke's first five points of overtime. The Blue Devils eventually pulled away with the triumph, 109-99.

Reigan Richardson wins Ball Dawgs Classic MVP award

After helping Duke win the 2024 Ball Dawgs Classic Championship, Richardson subsequently earned the Tournament MVP Award.

Before her 35-point outburst, she scored 16 points in the previous game against No. 9-ranked Kansas State, which was a season-high.

Heading into Wednesday's game, Richardson was averaging 11.6 points on 43% field-goal shooting while averaging 2.6 boards and 1.7 assists for the season. Her averages will definitely take a huge leap with the performance she showed on Wednesday night.
