“Run it back”: UConn star Paige Bueckers hypes up teammate over latest photoshoot

UConn star Paige Bueckers is not only an elite basketball player but also a supportive teammate who always has her team's back. Bueckers recently showed off her support for teammate Caroline Ducharme on Instagram.

On Tuesday, Ducharme, a redshirt junior at Connecticut, shared a series of pictures from a college photoshoot day. She was rocking an UConn home jersey and posed in a few different styles.

In the first picture, Ducharme was standing with a big smile on her face, holding a basketball. In the next slide, she sat on a chair with her legs crossed, donning a blue vintage varsity bomber jacket.

"year 3 again," Caroline captioned the post.

Paige Bueckers, the reigning Big East player, was quick to hop in the comments.

"Run it back😏," she wrote under Caroline's photos.

Other Huskies KK Arnold and Ashylnn Shade also reacted with positive notes in the post.

"Mom posted!!!🙌😍," Ashlynn commented.
"BAD THANG😍😛," Kamorea added.

Similar to Bueckers, Ducharme also missed an entire season due to injury. This past season, her junior year, the 6-foot-2 guard only managed to play four games after sustaining injuries in the head and neck.

"I'm confident that this is the best decision so I can continue to play the sport I love at UConn and professionally," Caroline said in January. "As hard as it is to be away from the court until the 2024-25 season, I'm always supporting my team and I can't wait to rejoin them on the court next season."

Paige Bueckers to lead UConn as Ducharme to miss the start of new season

Paige Bueckers has one final year in college basketball and will be looking to lead the Huskies to silverware this upcoming season.

Azzi Fudd, Caroline Ducharme and Aubrey Griffin are likely to miss a few games at the beginning of the season because they are still recovering from injuries. Even though they have returned to practice, they are not ready to play in actual games yet.

"She won't be ready the first week of November or the second week of November, maybe," coach Geno Auriemma gave an update on Fudd. "I don't know. We'll know more once she starts getting out there."

As the new season is about to begin, Paige Bueckers has not hidden her disappointment in not winning the national championship yet and will be hoping that this could finally be the year.
