“She really is my life”: Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan dedicates extensive ink to mom La La for her sacrifices

Kiyan Anthony and his mother La La Anthony share an incredibly close bond. When the 6-foot-5 guard is not training with his illustrious dad Carmelo, he mostly spends time with his mom. In late July, Anthony got a tattoo of his mom's portrait on his arm.

On Saturday, Overtime shared a sneak peek on Instagram of the new episode of season two of "Evolu7ion". In the video, Anthony goes to a tattoo shop with La La and could be heard narrating his experience getting a tattoo.

"I'm getting a new tattoo. I'm getting a piece dedicated to my mom. That's a letter I wrote to her with a little portrait," Kiyan said. "My mom always been my number one supporter. She doesn't even think twice. As soon as she finds out that I got something going on, she'll drop work to do all of that.
"Just seeing her work every day how hard she does really inspires me to get up ana work and go to the gym. She really is my life."

Kiyan Anthony explained that he chose the specific tattoo because he wanted it to serve as a dedication to his mother, expressing his desire for everyone to understand how much she means to him.

"Dear Mom, you continuously put me before yourself. You are my life. I thank god for you every day," the tattoo says.

The tattoo covered almost Kiyan's entire left arm. It took hours to finish, and he even dozed off during the process. After it was completed, La La came to see it and was deeply moved. She said that she couldn't believe he got her face tattooed and was touched by the gesture.


Kiyan Anthony says La La pushes him to be the best version of himself

Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan has inherited his father's athletic prowess and passion for the game. But his mother La La has also played a crucial role in molding the young hooper.

During an interview with ESPN last week, the No. 1 player in New York, shared how La La constantly drives him to be the best version of himself on and off the court.

"I would say my mom does a lot more background stuff," Anthony told ESPN.
"Like, when I'm going through something or I need somebody to talk to, my mom is definitely the person. And she's the one who really pushes me to get in the gym, even if I don't want to. To go to school and stay on top of my grades and stuff like that."

Kiyan will play his final year of high school basketball this season. He said thaf he will commit to a school before the new season starts.
