“Teach him”: NBA star Paul George urges Carmelo Anthony to educate his son Kiyan about legendary hoopers
Carmelo Anthony invited Paul George to add to his son Kiyan Anthony's NBA knowledge on the recent episode of his "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast. In a lighthearted conversation, "PG13" recounted his favorite players from his childhood. Alongside Kobe Bryant, he listed Tracy McGrady, John Salmons and Josh Howard in light of his appreciation for tall wing players.
Unaware of the latter player, when Kiyan Anthony probed Melo about Howard, the crew erupted with hilarious reactions.
"Teaching point, teach it, teach him Pete," Carmelo Anthony said.
"So now you gotta do your homework," PG said before Kiyan Anthony hilariously misinterpreted Josh Howard for Juwan Howard, igniting another round of laughs from Melo.

Josh Howard spent nearly 10 years in the NBA, playing for the Dallas Mavericks (2003-2010), Washington Wizards (2010-2011), Utah Jazz (2011-2012) and Minnesota Timberwolves (2012-2013). He averaged 14.3 points and 5.7 rebounds throughout his career, with a shot efficiency of nearly 45%.
A few of the reasons Howard was Paul George's go-to player to watch were his defensive acumen and lethal mid-range game. Moreover, the 6-foot-7 wing was quick on his feet and could handle the ball relatively well, as seen in George's skillset.
Paul George is Kiyan Anthony's favorite player
Just like Charlotte Hornets’ Brandon Miller, Paul George is younger Anthony’s favorite player, mostly due to the flow of his game and two-way adaptability.
He resonated with the same stance when his mom, La La Anthony, inquired about his “GOAT” player in an episode of Complex’s "GOAT Talk," naming Paul George at the top, followed by Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony. Moreover, he maintained his pick even when his mom argued with him to list his dad at the top.
Melo, on the other hand, is content with his son's list and even thanked PG for continuously inspiring his son.
"I want to give you your flowers though. And say, thank you, for inspiring him, you see what I'm saying? That's big. So I want to say thank you, champ for inspiring my son to be happy, say 'PG in the house all f*cking day, all night'. Thank you for that,” Melo said.
Kiyan Anthony, a four-star prospect per 247Sports, is entering his senior year at Long Island Lutheran High School. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard has named Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, Rutgers, USC and Syracuse as his top six schools.
