“Thank goodness”: Paige Bueckers hypes up UConn teammate Aubrey Griffin on latest IG post
Paige Bueckers was thankful that her UConn teammatee, Aubrey Griffin, a redshirt senior, posted all those stylish snaps that had been lying in the drafts.
Griffin uploaded a series of pictures on Sunday. In the snaps, she could be seen posing in an olive green sweatshirt paired with jorts and sneakers. The caption of the post was:
"from the drafts"
Paige Bueckers did not stop herself from commenting on the post while Kamorea Arnold also joined in on the excitement.
"Thank goodness these left the drafts 😍"
"whew finally 😍"
Aubrey Griffin will be back on the 2024-25 squad, after suffering a torn ACL, along with Azzi Fudd, Jana El Alfy, Caroline Ducharme and Ayanna Patterson.
Paige Bueckers' last season will be her most important one
Bueckers will play her final and fourth season with the aim to win the NCAAW championsip title. With the departure of Caitlin Clark to the WNBA, Bueckers remains one of the star college players who will get attention from the fans throughout the season.
Geno Auriemma is confident that Paige Bueckers will come out as the best guard in this year's college hoops season. He said at 2024 Big East Media Days, as per CT Insider:
“Whatever people want to see, they’re going to see. That’s the way the world is today. If they want to see that she’s the best guard ever to play basketball, that’s what they’re going to think. Because she’s going to show you that. If they want to see, hey, she’s over-hyped, they’re going to see that, too.
“So it is what it is. She’s going to play great, and she’s going to have unbelievable moments and she’s going to have some down moments. But I think Paige is somebody that everybody is going to want to watch.”
Paige Bueckers is expected to declare for the 2025 WNBA Draft and is favored to be the number one overall pick.
While the UConn star is not stressing about the future, she can end this season as one of the greatest Huskies hoopers who won a national championship. Or, she might end up as the national championship winner who experienced injury struggles that prevented her from succeeding fully.
