“The Champs are here”: Dan Hurley hyped after UConn’s Huskies uniform announcement
Dan Hurley's UConn basketball team unveiled their uniforms for the upcoming season on Saturday. The program announced via social media there won't be any significant changes to the jersey designs and it will be the same as last season.
"Our uniforms will remain the same this season," UConn posted on their socials.
Coach Dan Hurley was excited to show them off as he reposted the announcement on his Twitter account.
"The Champs are here," Hurley wrote.
The Huskies won their second consecutive national championship last season and are eyeing a third in the upcoming campaign. They went with the tried-and-tested uniforms that brought them the title, choosing not to change anything.
The home uniform is primarily white with "UCONN" written across the chest in navy blue letters. The collar and armholes are trimmed in navy blue with a thin red stripe. The only difference is the addition of a gold patch with the Husky logo on the back of the collar.

What Dan Hurley did last season by winning back-to-back NCAA titles is a rare accomplishment in college basketball with only a handful of teams achieving the feat. That last team to win two in a row was Florida in 2006-07.
For the upcoming campaign, Hurley has only one thing on his mind — making history by becoming the only second team to win a three-peat after the UCLA Bruins(1967-73). The slogan for this monumental challenge?
"DYNASTY," Hurley said after their first official practice session for the upcoming season on Sept. 28.
The word will appear on every UConn's gear for the new season from wristbands, T-shirts and other items.
"It's like a succession of rulers. For us, it's even more fitting for. Unlike other dynasties that have kept the same players, for us it would truly be a succession of rulers because it's all different people who would have created a three-peat."
"It takes everything. It demands everything. It's worth it to give everything, to experience everything. We've used that word in so many different ways."
The Huskies won the 2022-23 national championship with the motto "WE SEASON." Last season, their slogan was "EVERYTHING." The team lived up to that, winning it all — the Big East regular season, the Big East Tournament and the second NCAA title under Hurley.
