Tricia Cullop only has positive words for Haley and Hanna Cavinder
The Cavinder twins announced in April that both will play their fifth and final season of college basketball with the Miami Hurricanes.
Before annoucing the news, Haley Cavinder had committed to TCU to wrap up her fifth college hoops season, but seeing her sister Hanna transfer to Miami made her decision.
The two are expected to become an integral part of the squad. They will not only bring their veteran mindset into the game but also a large amount of media following, thanks to their millions of social media followers across platforms.
While talking to The Miami Herald, Cullop, the new Hurricanes WBB, said:
“It was a no-brainer. They’re two of the hardest workers I’ve ever coached, or played with, and that’s saying a lot, because I played with some All-Americans.
“They have an extreme hunger to want to be better, and they set the bar really high for the rest of the players,” Cullop continued. “It’s great for my incoming freshman class, which was ranked 18th in the country, to see two kids who have a lot of press being such hard workers. When your best players are your hardest workers, you have something special.”
Haley and Hanna Cavinder are setting the standard and are always the first ones to arrive at the gym, as per Cam Williams, the Cavinder twins' new teammates.
The twin sisters will aim to help the team qualify for the 2025 NCAAW championship titles, just like they had done in 2023.
