“True fashion icon”: Kiyan Anthony’s mom La La Anthony dazzles fans with full denim outfit
Kiyan Anthony's mother, La La Anthony, is going viral on social media after sharing an Instagram post on Tuesday. The actress and television personality posted photos in an all-denim outfit and captioned them:
"Denim days."
Fans loved the look and praised La La in the comments.
"Lala a true fashion icon," a fan said.
"Can't wait to raid your closet very soon," another fan wrote.
"Very confident and inspiring woman," a fan said.
Anthony has a consistent presence in the fashion scene and is known for her bold fashion on the red carpet. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in September, La La shared how she teaches fashion to Kiyan Anthony.
"We have continued bonding over fashion. He keeps me in the loop of what’s trending and stylish," she said. "The best advice I give him about style is to always be himself. It’s OK to follow trends, but make sure you love what you are wearing. When you love your outfit, you feel good," she shared.
She also commented about her fashion style which has been changing over the years.
"I think my style has evolved with the times and trends," she said. "I don't have many regrets, but I may see a picture from 10 years ago and have a, 'What was I wearing?' moment because style changes with time."
La La Anthony called out Kiyan Anthony for lying about his height
In July, Kiyan Anthony went viral when La La Anthony shared pictures from their trip to Japan. Fans were shocked to see how tall the guard had grown.
In a video shared by Overtime about the trip, one fan who met him on the streets of Tokyo questioned him about his height. When Anthony replied that he was 6-foot-5, his mother called him out.
“You’re 6-foot-4, baby," she said. "Stop lying! He’s 6-foot-4. Stop lying.”
“I’m what? I just got measured the other day," Kiyan replied.
Kiyan Anthony is a senior at Long Island Lutheran High School in New York and is set to make an important college decision soon. The shooting guard announced earlier that his top three were Auburn, USC and his father, Carmelo Anthony's alma mater, Syracuse.
Per reports by On3's Joe Tipton, Anthony will announce his college decision on Nov. 15. Further reports suggest that the announcement could come on the season 2 premiere of Carmelo's podcast, "7PM in Brooklyn." Wave Sports + Entertainment and Creative 7 announced it will be a "special Anthony family episode."
