UConn’s Paige Bueckers, Kamorea Arnold and Sarah Strong poke fun at each other with childhood pictures
On Wednesday, UConn stars Paige Bueckers, Kamorea Arnold and Sarah Strong were in a fun mood when they shared several pictures of each other from their childhood on Instagram.
Bueckers funnily captioned KK's swagger-filled mirror selfie "Period poo," while Strong's image was captioned "Slay girl."
Strong then shared a picture of KK as an infant and Bueckers' throwback picture of her wearing a purple hoodie and black Nike shorts.
Strong and Bueckers were named Big East Pre-season Freshman and Player of the Year, respectively.
Paige Bueckers and Sarah Strong gave a glimpse of their new close bond at Big East Media Day
The Minnesota native attended the 2024 Big East Media Day at Madison Square Garden with teammates Azzi Fudd, Morgan Cheli and Sarah Strong. The three answered various questions about the team's new mindset, dynamic and aims for the upcoming WBB season.
While Bueckers answered questions, Fudd interrupted the reporters and said Strong wanted to ask her something.
“Sarah Strong here, we know that you can hoop, and you can sing. So, when is ‘Lil Paigey’ dropping again?” Strong asked Bueckers.
“She’s a jokester too. She’s got it all. She’s a funny girl,” Bueckers said of Strong before telling her teammate, “You can expect something from ‘Lil Paigey’ when you get something from ‘Ra.’"
Strong's nickname amongst her teammates is 'Ra.'
Bueckers is gearing up to play her final season with the UConn Huskies. She will declare for the 2025 WNBA draft next year, where she is projected the number one pick overall. After her departure to the pros, the baton will go to Strong.
Bueckers and her teammates are rallying to win the NCAAW championship title in 2025, a feat they could not achieve for the past two years. Although Dawn Staley's squad still holds high and true compared to other teams, the Huskies are a healthy lot this year.
Uconn will play against Boston U on Friday. Are you expecting them to win in the first regular season game? Let us know in the discussion box.
