UConn’s Paige Bueckers shares “dream sporting event” she wants to attend in the future
Paige Bueckers' world tour might not be over until 2028. GQ Sports interviewed the UConn point guard during her New York Fashion Week stint and asked her a series of off-court questions.
Apart from her craziest fan experience and her basketball GOAT, Bueckers was asked about her most anticipated sporting event.
Right off the bat, Bueckers mentioned the Olympics. She also shared a desire to be in Paris this summer but revealed that it would have taken a toll on her, as she was preoccupied with travel plans.
"Dream sporting event is definitely the Olympics," Bueckers said. "I wanted to go to Paris but it just would have been too much traveling so, definitely I would say the Olympics," she added.
Paige Bueckers has been busy since the conclusion of the previous college basketball season. She appeared at multiple WNBA games, cheering for her former UConn teammates. She also threw the ceremonial first pitch at a Minnesota Twins game against the Kansas City Royals at Target Field and partnered with Meta for a collaborative post.
She also kept tabs on Team USA's Olympics campaign.

Considering Team USA’s aging squad, changes are inevitable in the coming years.
When Los Angeles hosts the 2028 Olympics, Bueckers will likely be well into her WNBA career and have gained significant experience. She could be one of the first names chosen for the 2028 Olympics.
Bueckers has established a rapport with the Team USA program, having mounted gold-medal runs in the age-restricted FIBA tournaments.
Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and JuJu Watkins are also names that could feature on the 2028 Olympics roster.
