USC star JuJu Watkins has a 1-word reaction to unique LeBron x Bronny James graphic

Bronny James was picked by the Los Angeles Lakers at No. 55 in the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday. With this, Bronny and his father, LeBron James, have the chance to make history as the first active father-son duo in the league playing for the same team.

In celebration of the draft pick, the Lakers posted an edit to their Instagram of young and old versions of Bronny and LeBron. USC Trojans star JuJu Watkins reacted by reposting the image to her Instagram story and wrote:

Earlier on Tuesday, in an interview with People, Watkins spoke on the potential draft:

"Just to see his success... He's about to get drafted, so I'm really excited for him. We were both able to do some things for USC, so I'm grateful for that experience,"

Both JuJu Watkins and Bronny James concluded their freshman season with the USC Trojans earlier this year. While Watkins had a much more successful season, averaging 27.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals, Bronny wrapped his college career averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

The National Freshman of the Year will have to wait three more years before she is eligible for the WNBA draft in 2027. The WNBA has mandated that a prospect must be at least 22 years old in the year of the draft for American citizens. For international players, the minimum age is 20.

JuJu Watkins once shared LeBron James' advice for her

JuJu Watkins has known LeBron James and his sons for some time. She shot a commercial with the Lakers veteran when she was in high school at Sierra Canyon, where Bronny also went. Bron has been seen at the USC games multiple times and even gives Watkins a shoutout on X.

When asked what the biggest advice LeBron James had given to her on Paul George's "Podcast with P" was, JuJu Watkins replied:

"Every time I see him it's always just like 'keep going'. Just what he's able to accomplish I think he's just already inspiring, just seeing how far he's come. So for him to really take his time out of his day and come watch us play, it's amazing," she added.

As JuJu Watkins prepares for her sophomore year at USC, fans await the debut of LeBron and his son on the court.
