USC star JuJu Watkins likes Anthony Davis' joke about Lakers' LeBron James following win against Germany
LeBron James was just 19 years old when he made his Olympic debut with Team USA in 2004. He's 39 today and aging like a fine wine. He will be representing Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Team USA recently faced Germany in a pre-Olympics exhibition game where LeBron James led his team to victory by posting a team-high 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. This led to his teammate, Anthony Davis, making a joke about him being a clutch player even at the age of 45.
The post spread through the hoops world and was even liked by women's college basketball star, JuJu Watkins.
"[Lebron] still doing this at 45," Anthony Davis said via NBA.
The game wasn't easy for Team USA as they were trailing by 3 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. It was LeBron's magnificence that helped them score 24 to Germany's 17 to end the 4th quarter with a 92-88 win.
The performance from LeBron also left the hoops world in awe. Some fans demanded LeBron be made the logo of the NBA, while others wished for him to make the cut at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
"Make king james the NBA logo," one fan wrote.
"Bron gotta be involved in the 2028 Olympics some how. It's in LA! Atleast in the coaching staff," another fan wrote.
Anthony Davis scored 10 points and added 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Joel Embiid was the second-highest scorer with 15 points, along with 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.
JuJu Watkins chose LeBron James to take the last shot for Team USA
USC Trojans star JuJu Watkins recently revealed her choice to take the last shot for Team USA. With Steph Curry and LeBron James as the probable options, she chose LeBron and said:
"Most experienced. Best player."
Latest Duke commit, Cooper Flagg, and Dereck Lively II were among the athletes who were asked the same question. Flagg agreed with what JuJu had to say, whereas Lively II went with Steph Curry.
