
Video: Syracuse commit Kiyan Anthony shows off his skills in impressive workout clip
Syracuse commit Kiyan Anthony has continued to work on his game ahead of his college basketball journey.
The son of former national champion and Olympic gold medalist Carmelo Anthony showcased his ability to work off screens, slash to the hoop and deliver his jump shot on the dribble.
NBA trainer Jamal Lovell posted a video of Anthony's session.
"He enjoys working hard and he's coachable," Lovell said in his Instagram post. "Keep your head down and keep stacking days killer."
Kiyan Anthony, who recently graduated from high school at Long Island Lutheran, announced his commitment to Syracuse in November 2024 on his father's show, "7PM in Brooklyn." He had offers from 20 other schools, including USC, Florida State, Illinois, Indiana and Arizona State.
The 36th-ranked prospect in the 2025 ESPN 100 had a great 2024-25 season with LuHi, averaging 15.2 points per game in the Nike EYBL Scholastic League.
Syracuse is an ACC longshot to win the 2026 NCAA Championship
The Syracuse Orange is a long shot in the ACC to win the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The New York-based team ranked seventh in FanDuel's list, with a +15000 chance of taking home its second national title.
The Orange is in a virtual tie for seventh with SMU, which also has a +15000 odds of winning the NCAA crown. Final Four qualifier Duke was the favorite at +1100, followed by Louisville (+1700), North Carolina (+4000), NC State (+6000), Virginia (+8000) and Miami (+10000).
Clemson ranked ninth at +20000 followed by Notre Dame (+20000), Virginia Tech (+20000), Wake Forest (+20000), Pittsburgh (+30000), California (+30000), Stanford (+30000), Florida State (+30000), Georgia Tech (+30000) and Boston College (+50000).
Syracuse finished the 2024-25 season at 14-19 (7-13 in the ACC). Adrian Autry and his coaching staff had a busy offseason, recruiting the best talents available in the high school ranks and the transfer portal.
They were able to get five freshmen prospects, including Kiyan Anthony, Sadiq White and Luke Fennell, and six transfer portal acquisitions led by former Georgia Tech point guard Naithan George and Oregon State standout Nate Kingz.
