WATCH: Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan makes an appearance at 2024 Sneaker Con in New York
Kiyan Anthony recently took a break from collaborating with local brands for his One Way clothing company. The 17-year-old's latest outing came at the 2024 Sneaker Con held in New York. Anthony rotated between Kobe Bryant, Jayson Tatum, and Luka Doncic's shoes during his EYBL stint.
However, the combo guard is also a huge sneaker-head and has more than 50 pairs of sneakers in his room. So, before Anthony got the time to offload his gallery from the Sneaker Con visit, he reposted a few images with fans through repost on his Instagram story.
Kiyan Anthony donned a box solid white t-shirt, a gold chain, and a knee-length denim short with glaring embeddings on its outseam and lining of the scoop pockets.
Sneaker Con began in 2009, with less than 5000 people attending the event. However, the event has developed into a global attraction over the years, with the 2024 Sneaker Con happening concurrently in Brooklyn’s Maimonides Park in Coney Island and Australia.
Given Anthony’s love for sneakers, there is a chance that the best high school basketball player in New York will also be in attendance on the final day of the event.
Kiyan Anthony believes that his Syracuse offer did not come purely because of Carmelo Anthony
Due to Carmelo Anthony’s prestigious stature in the NBA world, fans expected that Anthony’s Syracuse offer was an inevitable occurrence. Out of all his finalist schools, Syracuse was the first program to extend him an offer in November 2022.
However, Anthony believes that his growing game alongside the potential to become a star and lead the Orangemen are the main factors the school decided to bet on him.
"I felt like they offered me not just because of who I was, you know my dad being there - going to Syracuse and winning. I feel like they see my potential and looking forward to running it back," Anthony said in the opening episode of Evolution 2.0.
However, Anthony's clarification does not mean that he is going to commit to Syracuse. The high schooler is currently choosing between USC Trojans, Rutgers Scarlet Knight, Auburn Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Flordia State Seminoles, alongside Syracuse.
Kiyan Anthony has a few visits lined up for in the coming weeks and plans on declaring his commitment before he begins his senior high school season.
