WATCH: Cooper Flagg names Team USA's Olympic legends who played for Duke in college ft. Kyrie Irving

Cooper Flagg will embark on his college career at Duke in the 2023-24 college basketball season. The small forward, who is projected as the first overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, took part in a Team USA basketball scrimmage on Monday ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In a trivia question and answer session during the event, Flagg was asked to name the Duke's alum who had played for Team USA in the Olympics. He showed he has a good grasp of the program's basketball history by mentioning three of the four players to have done so.

Cooper Flagg mentioned Jayson Tatum, Kyrie Irving and Grant Hill but was unable to mention the other players despite some clues. He was told the other fellow was Carlos Boozer, and he reacted like he thought of it. Take a look at the forward answering the question below.

Cooper Flagg impressed at Team USA's scrimmage

Cooper Flagg is the only player invited to the U.S. Select Team without NBA experience.

The small forward is even yet to play a college basketball game. However, he stole the show against NBA stars and future Hall of Famers on the U.S. Olympics team during the three-day scrimmage.

The performance of the youngster caught the attention of everyone in the gym and helped him garner high praise. He made it known that what helped him out was his mindset.

“It just comes from my mindset,” Flagg said. “Once the ball goes up, I'm just trying to win at all times, so I'm just a competitor and that's what it boils down to.
"It's a little bit of adjustment being on the court with them, but at the same time, I'm just playing basketball and just trying to win.”

Cooper Flagg is confident in his ability

The brilliance of Cooper Flagg as a basketball player has been evident right from his high school days, and he's expected to show that next season at Duke. Following the scrimmage on Monday, he expressed confidence in his ability.

“I'm confident in my ability and my skill. So at the end of the day, I'm confident in who I am and what I can do, so I'm just coming out to play basketball,” Flagg said.
“I'm just blessed to have this opportunity and to be here. So just knowing I get to go and compete, I kind of had no worries.”

Projected to be the No. 1 pick in 2025, Flagg is anticipated to lead the Blue Devils to challenge for the national championship next season. His performance at the Team USA scrimmage is obviously a morale booster.
