Haley Cavinder and Jake Ferguson met through friends last year. The rumors of the two dating first began when the Miami guard was spotted in his jersey. Since confirming their relationship, the stars have been vocal in supporting each other offline and on social media. Ferguson even got Cavinder's initials tattooed on his ring finger.

Haley Cavinder and twin Hanna inch closer to final college season

After taking a year off to focus on business ventures, Hanna and Haley Cavinder are making their official return to college basketball next month. The guards played a crucial role in Miami's run to its maiden Elite Eight appearance in 2023 and are expected to lead in a similar capacity this season.

New Hurricanes coach Tricia Cullop is excited about the Cavinder twins' return to leading the team. She praised them in an interview with the Miami Herald, saying:

“It was a no-brainer. They’re two of the hardest workers I’ve ever coached, or played with, and that’s saying a lot, because I played with some All-Americans. They have an extreme hunger to want to be better, and they set the bar really high for the rest of the players.
“It’s great for my incoming freshman class, which was ranked 18th in the country, to see two kids who have a lot of press being such hard workers. When your best players are your hardest workers, you have something special.”

Michigan transfer Cam Williams said she knew about the twins via social media and was excited to share the court with them.

“They’re some of the hardest workers you’ll ever meet; they’re the first ones here every single day,” the forward said. “They’ve done an amazing job of setting the standard for this program and letting the younger kids know that we came here to win.”

The Miami Hurricanes will begin their 2024-25 season on Nov. 4 against Stetson.
