WATCH: Duke’s Jared McCain rocks red jacket as he shares tips to go viral ahead of 2024 NBA draft

Jared McCain has an eye for turning heads with his trendy outfits and casual demeanor. He knows that too, as he gave tips on how to increase one's visibility in the digital space.

In an Instagram story posted by New Era Cap ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft, McCain shared his experience of making videos and maximizing views:

"There's a few things I look at for every video. If it's with my mom, my mom's gonna dance and I think it's better engagement for sure. If it's with my teammates, those are gonna go more viral. But good angle, good lighting is probably the two [elements] that I look for in every video."

Jared McCain lauds family support behind expressive personality

In a video shared by his management at Excel Basketball, McCain opened up about his journey and the support from his family that has contributed to his expressive personality.

"I feel like it's giving me the confidence to always be myself," McCain said. "I credit my parents, my family for just kind of supporting whatever decision I make. Whether it's painting my nails or doing TikTok dances, they just give me the confidence."

The 20-year-old Duke Blue Devils star has garnered attention both on and off the court, and has made headlines for his colorful nails and confident demeanor. Talking about his self-care habit, he explained that there's "no crazy reason" behind it and it started after one salon visit.

"There's really no crazy reason to it. It helps me not bite my nails... I went into a salon one time, and I decided to pick out a color, and I thought it looked nice," he said.
