WATCH: Flau'jae Johnson and team present 100 flowers to Kim Mulkey for unreal achievement with LSU

As the LSU Tigers defeated the North Carolina Central Eagles 131-44 on Sunday, Kim Mulkey became the fastest coach in program history to reach 100 wins. North Carolina had its season-best start with 18 first-quarter points, but after Mulkey adjusted LSU's strategy, the Tigers held the Eagles scoreless in the second quarter while dominating the second half.

After the win, Mikaylah Williams and Flau'jae Johnson spearheaded a floral presentation for the coach. The two guards marched with a bouquet of 100 flowers to celebrate Kim Mulkey's 100th win as LSU coach. The team then watched a mixtape of Mulkey's iconic moments before gathering in a huddle.

Watch the scene below:

Kim Mulkey took over the LSU program in 2021 after a decade under Nikki Fargas’ leadership. She brought 21 years of coaching experience with Baylor and three NCAA titles under her belt. In her first season, she led the Tigers to the second round of the national tourney, where LSU lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Mulkey's coaching brilliance shone in her second season with the program, leading them to a 34-2 record and the program's first NCAA women's basketball title. Her offense surged through the tournament, winning by an average margin of 14.3 points and defeating the Caitlin Clark-led Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85 for the trophy.

Flau'jae Johnson continues to lead Kim Mulkey's scoring schemes

Kim Mulkey's LSU Tigers have been one of the top teams in scoring this season. They are averaging 93.8 points per game across their first nine contests, leaving teams like UCLA, South Carolina and UConn behind.

Unlike previous seasons, where post players were central to LSU’s scoring, guard Flau'jae Johnson has emerged as the focal point of Mulkey’s offense.

She is averaging 22 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals while making nearly 55% of her shots. She is ninth on the NCAA scoring leaderboard and has one of the best shooting efficiencies among other leaders.

Mulkey has also delegated paint protection to a guard this season. Aneesah Morrow leads the Tigers in rebounding with 13.3 rebounds per game, placing her atop the NCAA leaderboard across all conferences. She also leads the program with 21 steals.
