In a surprising interview, several basketball players ranked Duke sensation Cooper Flagg among their top five scorers of all time. Overtime, a sports media company that connects with Gen Z fans, asked young hoopers to name their top five scorers. While names like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Michael Jordan were expected, some surprising choices made the list.
In a 34-second Instagram clip, Overtime asked:
"Who's your top 5 scorers of all time?"
The responses were a mix of legendary players and rising stars. Watch the clip below:
One player’s list included James, Bryant, Klay Thompson, Shaquille O'Neal and Blue Devils forward Cooper Flagg, who will make his college debut this year. Another hooper went with James, Bryant, Jordan, Flagg and Chet Holmgren. One hooper chose James, Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Wilt Chamberlain and Flagg.
Others had their takes, like a list with Bryant, James, MJ, Shaq and Flagg, or one that included James, Bryant, MJ, Durant and Dwyane Wade.
Some even picked Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Wilt alongside the legends.
Interestingly, the Overtime host shared a similar list but left LeBron out of the top five, choosing Bryant, Jordan, Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony instead.

Cooper Flagg is on the way up, but Michael Jordan remains at the pinnacle of the top five all-time
College basketball newcomer Cooper Flagg has had an incredible year, earning the title of National High School Player of the Year in 2024. He also shone on the biggest stages, being named a McDonald's All-American and participating in the Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoop Summit.
