WATCH: Iowa's Lucy Olsen shares "failed attempt" at viral TikTok dance with teammate Taylor McCabe on TikTok
Lucy Olsen posted her attempt to recreate a trending TikTok on Saturday. The Villanova Wildcats transfer danced to the beat of the song Dribble by "OmgAddy" alongside teammate Taylor McCabe.
Olsen claimed it was one of her failed attempts at the trend. However, the star guard perfectly executed the choreography until the last seconds of the video, when she forgot to dribble the imaginary ball between the legs. So far, the video has garnered nearly 19k views and 2.5k likes.
"Heres a failed attempt of this dance @tay," the post read.
Lucy Olsen has been actively posting on TikTok since her Villanova days. Olsen regularly gave fans insights about the program, her personal life, workouts and her Team USA stints while entertaining fans with dance videos alongside teammates.
Olsen has continued posting timely videos during her transition to Iowa. Even before she shifted to the Hawkeyes, she created a "Travel with me to Iowa" and "Room tour" post.
Taylor McCabe and Lucy Olsen have collaborated for more than 10 TikTok videos on the former Villanova guard's profile, with their best post garnering more than 482k views and more than 43k likes.
What makes Lucy Olsen different than Caitlin Clark?
Like Caitlin Clark, Lucy Olsen is leading the Iowa Hawkeyes in scoring this season behind 19.0 points per game. She has also emerged as the team’s leader in crunchtime situations, be it for getting a bucket or executing a specific play. However, when it comes to their game style and preferences, the two guards are a lot different from each other.
The biggest difference is that Olsen prefers midrange more than the 3-point line, which was one of the most threatening tools in Caitlin Clark’s offense. Clark shot 37.8% from the 3-point line in her senior year. On the other hand, Olsen shot less than 30% from behind the arc last season.
Due to Jan Jensen's playbook, Olsen is taking 3.9 3-point attempts per game this season. However, she is shooting a career-low 22.6% from behind the arc.
