Jada Gyamfi talks about her personal growth ahead of the upcoming season

Losing key players from their run to the finals last season including Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Molly Davis, the Hawkeyes will rely on Jada Gyamfi to take an increased role in their upcoming campaign.

During Iowa's media day on Thursday, Gyamfi discussed how she is improving as a player under new head coach Jan Jensen.

"I think I focused a lot on how I can help the team in general and I think with losing Kate as a vocal leader, that's one thing I've really focused on is bringing my voice and that in turn gives me more confidence cause it's always been one area where I've kind of struggled," Jada told Quad-City Times.
"So I think that's really helped me a lot. Lifting other people up always pours back into me so, definitely feeling more confident than before."

Gyamfi also pointed out that the new players coming in from transfer and recruiting class will be crucial to Iowa's success moving forward and expressed confidence that Hawkeyes fans would be pleasantly surprised by their impact.
