WATCH: LeBron James' son Bronny James shares his blind ranking for top 5 legendary video games
Bronny James, son of NBA legend LeBron James, declared for the 2024 NBA Draft while retaining his college eligibility despite a forgettable last season. However, he looked comfortable and a changed man at the NBA Draft Combine and has raised his draft stocks for the upcoming draft.
Recently, a TikTok video from the NBA Draft Combine surfaced on the internet in which Bronny was seen blindly ranking his top five legendary video games. The order of his ranking was:
- Call of Duty
- Fortnite
- NBA 2K
- Madden
- GTA
He looked disappointed as he couldn't give GTA a spot other than No. 5.
Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest last season because of which he had to miss a major part of the tournament. After his return, he could not get his form back and was criticized for his poor performance. Critics had him undrafted in the upcoming NBA Draft.
Bronny averaged only 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in the 2023-24 season. However, he has surprised everyone in the Combine. He recorded the fourth-highest vertical leap (40.5") and made 19 out of his 25 3-point attempts on Day 1.
However, on Day 2, Bronny James started to lose track once again as he only secured four points in the scrimmage. Despite a bad start, he fought back to score 13 points in the final scrimmage. What Bronny has displayed in the Draft Combine could be crucial for his father's dream of playing alongside him in the NBA.
His father LeBron James was in attendance at the Combine along with his wife to support his son. Bronny lived up to the expectations in front of him by also scoring 12 consecutive shots on Day 1.
Bronny James' draft projection is also highly affected by LeBron's contract expiring with the Lakers. Despite the results of the Combine, the Lakers can pick Bronny in the draft to lure LeBron to sign another contract extension with them. Fans will get the clarity on June 26, when the draft begins.
Bronny James impresses NBA champy Kevin Garnett in the Combine
Bronny James has proved his critics wrong by displaying an amazing performance on Days 1 and 2 of the NBA Draft Combine. He was highly appreciated for his performance by big names like Kevin Garnett, an NBA champion.
"Up there, Bronny looks really good. He looks really good. He looks poised. He looks like he wasn't rattled by everything that was going around. He looked like he was used to the moment. He had a good session where he shot the ball well," said Kevin Garnett (via Bleacher Report).
"And if I am a team, bro, I would actually take a chance on that because greatness runs through bro's veins, bro. And you gotta know at some point he's gonna have a little growth spurt and it's gonna click," he added.
By saying this, Garnett has potentially increased Bronny James' draft stocks already.
