Last-Tear Poa has endured a difficult season, averaging only 2.9 points, 0.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 29.9% shooting, mostly due to limited playing time. In LSU's 83-77 win over Vanderbilt on Monday, Poa had only one point and one assist in three minutes.

No. 5 LSU (19-0, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) visits Florida (11-7, 2-2) on Sunday.

LSU’s Last-Tear Poa drops 3 words to echo a fan’s opinion after 12 points in 13 minutes

LSU guard Last-Tear Poa came off the bench to help the Tigers dismantle North Carolina Central 131-44 on Nov. 27. She was one of eight Tigers scoring in double digits to overwhelm the Eagles. She had 12 points, three assists and two rebounds in 13 minutes.

Following LSU's dominant win, Poa responded to an Instagram post that acknowledged her aggressive display on the court that helped the Tigers.

"Message to Last-Tear Poa: GET TO THE F**KING BASKET," the post read. "Poa plays so much better when she attacks the basket and she's a good free throw shooter!"
"SO DO THAT MORE!! An aggressive Poa makes LSU better as a whole!! 12 pts, 3 assists, 2 rebounds in ONLY 13 MINUTES!!"

Poa acknowledged the message with a short caption:

"Say it louder!!!"

Poa was not part of the LSU team in its preseason games against Xavier and LSU-Alexandria and the season opener against Eastern Kentucky. Her absence was linked to her lawsuit against the USCIS after her P-1A Athlete visa application was denied.

The Australian, who was granted legal residency in the United States on an F-1 student visa in 2021, was ineligible to sign NIL deals due to non-work-study employment rules.

Poa said on teammate Flau'Jae Johnson's podcast "Best of Both Worlds" that she did not file the lawsuit just for herself, but for other international athletes coming after her.
