WATCH: Miami's Cavinder twins dress up as Dr. Seuss's Thing 1 & Thing 2 in for 2024 Halloween
The Cavinder twins have returned to Miami to play their fifth and final season of college basketball. Haley and Hanna Cavinder have used the offseason to prepare for their last hurrah, and after playing a successful exhibition game against PAU, they took a break to enjoy the spooky spirit of Halloween.
The Cavinder twins posted photos on X (formerly Twitter) where they were dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss's "The Cat in the Hat." Even their poodle joined in, sporting the same red outfits and blue wigs.
They later shared a TikTok video of themselves dancing to Lil Gnar and Germ's "Sticky Rice," featuring the lyrics, "she say she wish there was two of me," as they showcased their moves. Watch them bust out moves in their unique twist on the outfits of the popular characters from Dr. Seuss's book below:
Cavinder twins come back to college basketball after one-year hiatus
Haley and Hanna Cavinder ended the 2022-2023 college basketball season by helping the Miami Hurricanes reach the 2023 Elite Eight of March Madness. The team did not qualify for the 2024 NCAAW championship tournament, and with the return of the twin guards, the Hurricanes could make noise this season.
Before returning to the Miami squad, Haley Cavinder transferred to the TCU Horned Frogs in November 2023 and even practiced with them. However, she changed her mind after her twin Hanna announced in April 2024 that she would spend her final college season with the Hurricanes.
The sisters took a break from the hardwood floor to focus on building their brands and focus on their social media presence. The two launched an app called "Twogether," became co-founders of a beauty brand and signed with various brands in the offseason.
The Cavinder twins are expected to be a big help to Tricip Cullop's squad this year, but it remains uncertain whether they will pursue professional careers after college.
Haley ended the 2022 season with 12.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists, while Hanna averaged 3.8 ppg, 1.3 rpg and 1.6 apg.
