WATCH: Miami's Cavinder twins show off cool moves after winning 89-30 against Palm Beach Atlantic

The Cavinder twins tasted their first win of the year as the Miami Hurricanes defeated the Palm Beach Atlantic. Despite multiple new faces on the lineup and first-year coach Tricia Cullop at the sidelines, the Hurricanes provided fans a glimpse of the chemistry within the roster.

The program opened the game on a strong note, holding Palm Beach Atlantic to only two points till the first buzzer. PBA never got a chance to mount a comeback as Hurricanes won the contest, 89-30 in Coral Gables, Florida.

As a celebration, the Cavinder twins collaborated for a brief TikTok dance video on the song “Wobble” by Lil Zack after the game on their mutual account.

"Gameeee slay #basketball," the caption read.

Three more Hurricanes players added to the team’s offense. Natalija Marshall and Leah Harmon added 13 points each and Cameron Williams dropped 10 points.

The game also showcased the Hurricanes' defensive strength, holding Palm Beach Atlantic to just 25% overall shooting. They also outrebounded PBA 49 to 26 and garnered 22 steals, allowing for several transition opportunities.

Cavinder twins reunites for their last year of college eligibility

Behind a successful and growing spectrum of off-court opportunities, the Cavinder twins announced an early retirement from basketball at the end of the 2022–23 season. However, the competitiveness brought them back to the maple hardwood.

Initially, Haley Cavider was slated to don a TCU jersey, possibly forming a duo with Hailey Van Lith. However, the sisters realized that they could pair up at Miami for their last year of eligibility.

“I think it's hard to be in a position where it's either you stay at a school or you go back to a school to play with your twin sister for your last year,” Cavinder said at the ACC Tipoff. “Hanna and I played the game forever together. I've never played a game without her.”
“But at the end of the day, I'm really excited to be back with her, with Coach TC as our leader and her new staff to play our last season together at Miami."

Haley is a former Mountain West Player of the Year (2021) and averaged 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds on 40% 3-point shooting in the 2022-23 season. On the other hand, Hanna averages 12.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists throughout her career.
